How does it work?

Eating In

Manchester We advise making reservations for weekend evening dining. Groups of 6 or more, pre-booking is also recommended. For groups of 8 or more, we can offer you our discovery menu. For this menu we have put together a selection of our favourite dishes, which will be served in the centre of the table to be shared by everyone (this way, all the participants can taste a selection of freshly cooked dishes. 4 different starters/4 different main dishes/fresh mixed fruits), as is customary in Thailand when people go to the restaurant together. Choosing this menu means you won’t have the headache of everyone deciding what to choose, everyone gets their food at the same time and when it comes to splitting the bill, it makes it simple. If you are a party of 12 or more, we may not be able to offer you the ‘a la carte’ dining because of the way our kitchen works (everything is cooked fresh to order), but we can suggest dedicated offers for your group, amongst which you will find your heart’s desire. If you are a large party celebrating something special we may be able to incorporate a pre-dinner Thai Cocktail/Drinks offer where you can relax in our Lounge bar before your meal as part of the package. Contact us in advance and we will do everything we can to ensure your party is a success!

Taking Out

Manchester If you would like to enjoy Pum’s food in the comfort of your own home, all the items of our menu – desserts and drinks included – are available to take away. We suggest you phone and place your order and we will notify you as to when you can come to collect it. You can also come and order directly at the restaurant, but the time needed will depend on the workload of the restaurant at that time.

Review Pum Thai Restaurant & Cooking School Bury

The story

Bev and Darren fell in love with Pum’s concept during their holidays on Phi Phi Island. When back in the UK, they contacted Francis. Everybody clicked instantly, and after a few round trips between France and Manchester the decision of a partnership for the United Kingdom was adopted!
Finding the proper location was hard and long, with a few projects that did not materialise successfully, until the phone call from Darren who announced proudly that a unit was available at the Rock Shopping Centre: two storeys, for a Pum lounge bar on the ground floor, and the restaurant on the first floor.
Francis was so happy, because he couldn’t stand it anymore to test all the Thai restaurants of Manchester and its surroundings, every time he came to look for a suitable location with his new English friends.
The construction started in 2012 and the grand opening was held on 9th February 2013, in the presence of the Mayor of Bury.
