Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne
The vineyards are located in Gascony, land of sun and musketeers. The products are harvested, vinified, aged and bottled by PIERRE LAPLACE. Composed of 60 % Tannat, 40 % Syrah, vinification is done by soaking the grapes for 10 to 12 days at controlled temperature (about 22°C), which creates an association between structure and aroma. Aging in vats lasts for 6 months, the wine is bottled after that. Ruby colour, with light and brilliant shades. Expressive nose of very ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, mulberry… ). A few touches of spices and peppers add a very interesting aromatic complexity. The taste is supple elegant and fruity. Notes of spices, violets and mulberries balance well the little tannic touch which gives this wine all its character.
Wine pairing: Thanks to the balance of this wine, it can be paired pleasantly with different styles of cuisine: traditional, exotic or Italian. Try (between 15 and 16° C) with a farmhouse terrine and grilled lamb chops.
