AOC Alsace Clevner

Our Clevner (Alsatian translation of « Pinot Blanc ») , produced by the wine producer Paul Ginglinger in Eguisheim, is  a blend of different plots of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois produced in various localities of this village: Langrod, Bachtal, Klein Krumling, Lang Striebicher and Bodenacker.
The idea is to play with the complementarity of the various plots when assembling the wine so as to obtain the ideal compromise between maturity and freshness: the golden grapes of Auxerrois provide the wine with a franc and pronounced fruity aroma (pear, mirabelle plum…), magnitude when tasting, while the Pinot Blanc confers freshness, vivacity and a hint of citrus fruit (mandarin, lemon,…).

Wine pairing: aperitif, cooked pork meats, mixed salads, savoury pies, various hors d’œuvres, etc…
