The famous hot and sour Thai soup! No vegetables, a slightly spicy broth, made with the famous Lady P chilli paste, the recipe for which has been passed down Pum’s family from generation to generation, and was bequeathed to her by her Grandmother. Add to the broth fresh aromatic Thai herbs and a few secret ingredients, and just close your eyes: you are standing at the foot of the Wat Arun temple, the green Yak (giant) guarding the entrance looking upon you with a threatening yet kind look… in a few minutes you will get a Thai traditional massage at the Wat Pho temple, before having a walk at Phak Klong Thalad, the wonderful flower market of Bangkok… Be careful, the aromatic herbs are not necessarily eaten, and if you bite in the green chillies it is not at the Wat Arun you will end up, but at Bumrumgrad hospital
Goong means shrimps, and this soup is traditionally eaten with king prawns, that is why Pum recommends them.
Served with Thai rice as a side dish.
